I challenge myself to live authentically and unapologetically and it works!
My brand/company, Zenful Life Living® is about being "Genetically Bodacious TM" (since living with a genetic disorder) and being a stroke survivor; by speaking, teaching and serving those that want to live fully and present with joy and excitement. When working with me, people learn to develop the skills to be open and intentional to cultivate more meaningful desires. The result is the discovery of self loving intimacy to attract what they deserve. My personal focus is Integrative Nutrition with an emphasis in Gluten Free Living and Functional Medicine. My training in health and wellness studies has been with the Institute of Integrative Nutrition, the Institute of Functional Medicine, the University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine and the University of Minnesota Center of Spirituality & Healing and Neuro-linguistic Programming and life. I received my yoga certification from Breathe for Change, the only yoga training specifically for educators. With 2.5 years post-stroke and recovery rehabilitation under my belt, I turned to yoga and meditation to continue my healing journey. In 2018, I became a Registered Yoga Teacher. I figured I may as well learn to train properly since I needed to make both a lifestyle choice. My journey to better health really began in 2011. I was seeking answers for chronic symptoms. In January 2014, I asked my then doctor to test for Irritable Bowel Syndrome. Her office called the following month with the diagnosis of Celiac Disease. Informed that the doctor could not assist me, I started looking anywhere that I could get educated and create a plan of action for this issue. I had many ups (losing weight, putting hypothyroid disease in remission, correcting joint pain) and downs (panic attacks, cross contamination). During a portion of the same time, while detoxing from the effects of gluten in my brain and body, I was in the middle of a tumultuous 2 year divorce, while being a mom and employee for someone else. Then after a chain of unfortunate events, in 2015, I had an Ischemic Stroke. I not only had to rebuild my health, but my whole life. All of this brought me to a place of clarity and resilience. I'm a SURVIVOR and a Warrior and I keep on pushing through.
I speak on matters of the mind before the heart. I am considered a "go to" consultant regarding Celiac Disease, Chronic/Atrophic Gastritis and Stroke having overhauled my own life after many years of suffering and Rx. As a result of my research and own experience with Celiac Disease, I work with individuals and families seeking to gain relief from the pain and the associated mental illness linked to gluten intolerance or sensitivity. By creating a bio-identical plan, together we are able to put their condition into remission.
